Our client have an amazing opportunity for an AP Administrator to join them now on a temporary contract.

You will play a key role within their Accounting/Finance team and be responsible for accurate and timely processing of invoices for multiple entities. Reporting to the Senior Manager this is an opportunity to develop your career in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate for this role is organized, detail focused and able to manage conflicting priorities within structured deadlines and deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Process accounts payables in compliance with financial policies and procedures including verifying, classifying, computing, recording and posting of invoices
* Processing payment runs via electronic fund transfers and wire payments
* Reconciling AP to cash disbursements and investigating any variances
* Monitor vendor accounts, identify discrepancies and resolve payment issues
* Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
* Correspond with department heads to obtain invoice approvals and resolve any issues in a timely manner
* Complete monthly AP reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
* Review and process employee expense reimbursements
* Maintain financial security by following internal controls
* Prepare daily banking reports to monitor cash balances across multiple entities and investigating any variances
* Assist with various month-end closing and other tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

* College or University degree in business or accounting
* 1 year of accounts payable experience
* Must be highly organized, flexible, detail and results oriented
* Gives high priority to quality and has the ability to manage conflicting priorities
* Able to work independently with some direction and in a team environment
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions to people at all levels in the organization
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Good time management skills and reacts quickly to changing priorities
* Possess a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality
