Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy
* Calculate and input employee hours, wages, commissions, and deductions
* Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries
* Prepare and distribute pay stubs and tax forms (T4s, ROEs)
* Assist with month-end and year-end payroll activities
* Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll regulations
* Collaborate with HR and Finance departments on payroll-related matters
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in payroll processing
* Proficiency in payroll software systems
* Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Payroll compliance practitioner (PCP) certification
