Our client is seeking a high volume, hands on payroll professional to lead their existing payroll team in the greater Oakville area. This is a senior role within a stable organization with extensive employee tenure.
Job Duties
* Inhouse payroll software experience – comfortable with manual calculations
* ON payroll – end to end processing including remittances and reconciliations – T4s and T2200S for high volume (5000+) hourly workers
* Direct leadership and mentorship of 4 senior payroll staff
* Working closely alongside total rewards, finance and human resources
* Unionized payroll experience is a must in this role, must be comfortable working with collective agreements
* Previous experience working with HOOPP pension or a similar pension plan
* communication is key! Our client is looking for someone who can communicate with employees as they have recently begun a system implementation they are looking for this person to contribute their expertise too
